Pharma industry has undergone a complete transformation due to liberal economy, globalization,emerging GATT era. Due to this there is rapid interfacing of different newly emerged disciplines. Molecular biology, Advances in biotechnology and computer sciences largely drive the revolution in the field. It appears that the pendulum of pharmaceutical sciences is slowly swinging more towards life sciences applied medical and healthcare sciences, biotechnology and information technology. The demand of high quality pharmaceuticals, Introduction of new generation of drugs, emerging biotechnological methods for the production of extremely efficacious drugs, increased understanding of etiology of diseases due to advances in biology….

 

SPECIAL FEATURES

1. LECTURE THEATER: Spacious & specifically designed to facilitate participative learning. The theaters are fully equipped with all the necessary facilities like audio visual systems and overhead projectors.

2. PHARMACY LABS: The pharmacy college comprises of four departments, namely pharmaceutical chemistry, phaceutice, pharmacology & pharmacognosy. Pharmacy education is mainly based on practical Training. The weight age given in the syllabus to the practicals is about 50% to that of total syllabus. In order to cater this need, institute has state of art of laboratories well equipped with lastest equipments. Gas, water and electricity connection has been provided to each workstation to ensure better working environment alongwith safety and for smooth conduction of practicals. Each laboratories has individual balance and preparation rooms.

3. INSTRUMENTATION ROOM: The pharmacy college also have a very well equipped instrumentation room. The instruments are helpful in research works of students that will help in building their carrier in research & development departments.

4. ANIMAL HOUSE: The animal house facility boosts the academic and research environment in emergent field of experimental pharmacology. It also helps in teaching, training and research facilities. This animal house facility is a resource center for UG/PG students and faculty.

5. HERBAL GARDEN: Plants grown within the garden are specifically targeted to cure common illnesses such as cold, headache or anxiety. In herbal gardens, culture of the plants is carried out in a specialized manner, taking care to avoid contact with agents that are liable to cause pollution and thereby, health hazard.

6. SEMINAR HALL:The College has well furnished seminar and conference hall which is fully air vented and is equipped with LCD projectors and audio-video system. It acts as a common ground for all students and faculties to conduct guest lectures, personality development workshops which are required for the overall development of a student.

7. RICH LIBRARY: To maintain the vision and mission of the institute, the library has been established as the main learning resource center of the institution. Apart from having books for every course the huge and centralized library has a vast collection.

8. COMPUTER LAB: The college has high-tech advanced computers with LAN and internet services through wireless connectivity, and printers, scanners, plotters, photocopying machine and video cameras etc. all are the back bone of our infrastructure.

9. PLACEMENT CELL: “Choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life.” Placement Cells in colleges are the support providers which shape the students to a brighter future. Some of the greatest responsibilities of the college are embedded in the functioning of this department.

10. SPORTS CLUB: Healthy bodies builds healthy minds. To encourage all round development of our students, college have sports centre will provide facilities for various outdoor and indoor sports.
